German Shepherd Dogs specialize at nothing, but excel in everything. They are the best "all-around dog". They are terrific companion dogs and make wonderful family pets since they are well-rounded, even-tempered dogs who naturally bond with people. For this reason they are also used as police dogs, personal protection dogs, guide dogs for the blind, narcotics and bomb detection dogs, search and rescue dogs, as well as assistance dogs for those with other special needs.

Our dogs come from both showing and working stock in America and Germany. They are medium to high drive animals with great instincts and wonderful personalities. We have chosen dogs who carry positive traits from both ancestries. For example, our dogs have good strong bone structure and are well muscled like dogs from German lines without the severe angulation and thin boning that is often found in pure American line dogs. This makes them more balanced in both structure and movement. Our dogs are also more calm than dogs from strictly German lines and do not have that need to be worked as much, yet they are more discriminating and intelligent than American dogs: neither fearful or overly aggressive. They are less active and less dominant than typical German dogs which makes them better pets, yet they still retain the abilty to work, the energy to do so and the willingnes to please, which many American bred dogs have lost. Combining the healthy and able bodied showlines from the United States with the ones from Germany that carry the qualities I'm looking for, we have been able to ensure that our dogs will be highly intelligent, trainable and extremely loyal to their families.
